The Penticton Home and Reno Show has returned for the 29th year.
On March 8 and 9, inside the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, dozens of Canadian-based home-building and decorating products are on display for the annual event.
"We're very impressed with the show," said Charlie Halpin, owner of Penticton-based Tumbleweed Landscaping. "Well designed, great attendance, and very friendly people."
Produced by the local branch of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) and considered the largest of its kind in the Okanagan, the show featured home improvement displays from across the region.
Pools, patio designs, cabinets, and artificial grass were among the many displays open, with exhibitors performing live demonstrations of select products.
Home improvement services were also featured at the show.
"It's the only show like this in town, so that's what makes it special," Halpin said. "You have to be there or be square."
Along with its wide range of home-building products, this year's show is also paying it forward to the community.
On Sunday, attendees are encouraged to bring their appetites as organizers cook up smokies for lunch in support of the South Okanagan Women In Need Society.
Lunch costs $5, with proceeds heading to the South Okanagan Women In Need Society.
The show on Sunday runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thousands of people are expected to walk through the event's doors over the course of the weekend.
Entry to the show is $5.
