A new option for fresh baked goods has opened in 琉璃神社.
The Bakers Corner held its grand opening on Saturday, April 5 and is located at the new 琉璃神社 Event Centre.
"We're a traditional bakery so we do all of our home favourites like donuts and danishes and strudels," said co-owner Quinn Perks.
On top of having fresh baked goods every day, the bakery also specializes in meat pies with 12 different flavours.
Perks added the bakery has a variety of coffee options like lattes, cappuccinos, and more.
"You can come get everything that's your favourite," added Perks.
Something that makes the bakery stand out in terms of its aesthetic is a lemon tree in the middle of the room.
"It's something different and makes us stand out," said Perks.
The Bakers Corner is located beside Wood Fire Bakery, which has been there for more than 30 years and has been only active business in the building lately, but there's no hard feelings between the two local businesses.
"[We're] just another business in the building so its just more people coming into the parking lot," said Perks. "They're just excited to have someone else in the building bringing in people and we don't cross over at all. People can go there for lunch and come here for a sweet treat and a coffee."
The bakery soft-opened on April 4 and held its grand opening the next day.
Opened seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Bakers Corner can be found at #102-2041 Harvey Avenue.
