Finalists have been announced for the Canadian Home Builders鈥 Association - Central Okanagan鈥檚 (CHBA-CO) 31st annual Okanagan Housing Awards.

鈥淭he finalists in the Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence represent symbols of innovation and dedication within the housing industry. Being named a finalist in these prestigious awards signifies not only a moment of recognition, but a validation of the team鈥檚 commitment, quality, and passion for the success of the industry,鈥 said Krista Paine, CHBA-CO President. 鈥淏eing a judge for numerous other award associations, I am pleased to see our awards continue to solidify the Okanagan鈥檚 position as industry leaders across Canada.鈥

The association said it had a record-breaking number of entries and a new record for the diversity of finalists.

The housing awards feature single family homes, interior design projects, as well in multifamily and infill construction projects.

鈥淒espite labour shortages, material shortages, and rising interest rates, builders across Canada are working their way through one of the most challenging building seasons of the last several years,鈥 said CHBA CEO Kevin Lee. 鈥淭he Okanagan Housing Awards recognize not only beautiful projects, but the resiliency of the residential construction industry as a whole. They are wonderfully representative of the variety of homes we have in Canada, particularly the implementation of leading construction techniques for greater energy efficiency.鈥

Several companies have made the finals in multiple categories, including Carrington Homes with eight nominations. Align West Homes, Frame Custom Homes, and Millennial Developments all have five nominations.

The awards will be presented March 2, 2024.
