The owners of a Penticton steakhouse say they're handing restaurant operations over to one of the city's newest hotels.

Palmer Steakhouse's last day of operation will be on Halloween, according to the owners, who also run the Gunbarrel Saloon at Apex Mountain Resort.

The keys are being handed over to the Four Points By Sheraton Penticton.

"If you haven’t already heard, we have decided to hand over restaurant operations to Sheraton Four Points, and take the winter to focus our energy on making this Gunbarrel season the best one yet," a social media post reads.

The steakhouse first opened its doors 11 months ago, inside the Four Points. It came just a few months after the opening of the hotel itself, located next to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

It is unknown what the restaurant — which also features a rooftop patio — will look like after the Palmer Steakhouse bids adieu to its customers on Oct. 31.

"If we miss you at the Palmer, we’ll see you on the hill!" the owners said.

For its last day under current ownership, on Oct. 31, the steakhouse says it is doing half-price wine bottles, while supplies last. It was owned by the Mackenzie Hospitality Group.

The hotel is located at 903 Vernon Ave., in Penticton.
