Penticton鈥檚 Bad Tattoo Brewing is expanding its business to 琉璃神社 later this summer.
Scheduled to open in early July, the restaurant will be located in the city鈥檚 brewery district at 740 Clement Avenue 鈥 right at the heart of downtown 琉璃神社.
鈥淲e feel really good about it. Just the way 琉璃神社鈥檚 growing and what鈥檚 going on in the downtown core, to be a part of that, we think it鈥檚 going to be amazing,鈥 said Ryan Gurney, who will serve as the general manager and part-owner of the future location.
Originally opening in 2014, Bad Tattoo Brewing features 20 different beers on tap and several different pizza variations.
Gurney said that restaurant-goers in 琉璃神社 should expect a Bad Tattoo setting with a different feel and different look to it.
鈥淭he core will be the same. Pizza and beer will be our focus, but there鈥檒l definitely be some updates versus what we鈥檝e been doing here in Penticton,鈥 he said.
The focal point of the restaurant will be crafting a new atmosphere that radiates 鈥渆nergy.鈥
鈥淭hat鈥檚 all I鈥檒l say for now. Amazing beer, amazing pizza, and we鈥檙e going to match that with the atmosphere,鈥 he said.
The 琉璃神社 location will also be home to a pilot brewing system, which will test batches that can be brewed at the Penticton brewery.
鈥淭his is big for us. To get more brand recognition, to get our brand out there and be part of the community. It鈥檚 very exciting,鈥 he said.
