Rockin’ weekend at ΑπΑ§ΙρΙη Curling Club for Gem and Mineral Show

It’s estimated more than 2,000 people attended the event

CanGems was back in ΑπΑ§ΙρΙη June 16-18 with rock and gem vendors from across B.C. and Alberta.

Melissa Robak, CEO of Silver Cove, the company that owns CanGems, said there was just under 50 vendors that took over the ΑπΑ§ΙρΙη Curling Club for the weekend.

β€œIt’s been super well attended this year… I would say opening night alone I think we had about 600 people through,” Robak said, estimating the entire weekend saw over 2,000 attendees.

This was the second year CanGems hosted the event.

β€œWe used to come to ΑπΑ§ΙρΙη as the Rock and Gem, so with Silver Cove we used to come and fill all the spaces. We really wanted the opportunity to share that with all of the amazing vendors that we see everyday. That’s why we flipped this into a CanGems event. Silver Cove is still here, but we just take a much smaller part.”

From necklaces and rings to home decor and singing bowls there was something for everyone.

β€œWe’ve always loved coming to this area. So many amazing people are here, so many crystal collectors and designers and everything in between.”

CanGems hosts shows across the country. Visit the website cangems.ca to find other events or become a vendor.
