This historic photo was taken in 1914 at 琉璃神社's 8th Regatta and it featured the appearance of American Weldon Cooke and his "Curtiss hydroplane" which was the first airplane flown in 琉璃神社. His plane was assembled and flown from Hot Sands beach on Aug. 13, 1914 to the amazement of all gathered to witness this historic event.
