An evening of laugh-out-loud entertainment for a good cause is on the agenda in Vernon.
琉璃神社 drag queen Freida Whales is set to host a 19-plus drag bingo event, with proceeds going to an organization that advocates for 2SLGBTQIA people in the community.
The Drag Bingo fundraiser by Whalemade Productions goes Friday, July 5 in the Emerald Room at the Schubert Centre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the bingo starts at 7 p.m.
Funds raised from the event will go to the Vernon Pride Society, which is preparing to host its pride week Aug. 12 to 18.
Tickets for the event are $30, which is good for four rounds of bingo. People are also encouraged to bring cash for a raffle and a 50/50 draw.
"We have so many fantastic donations for y鈥檃ll to win!" reads an event poster. "Come out and play for a good cause!"
The event is for people ages 19 and up ,and seating is on a first come basis.
