Celebrate the golden age of cinema and raise money for a good cause at the BC SPCA's 'Old Hollywoof' Fur Ball in 琉璃神社.

The event is being held on Saturday, May 10 to raise money for the SPCA while celebrating films from the 1920s-1960s.

鈥淭his evening is an important fundraiser for the work the BC SPCA does here in our community,鈥� said Karin Massar, BC SPCA 琉璃神社鈥檚 senior officer, community giving. 鈥淕uests are welcome to dress in cinema style from the era or wear black or red attire for this year鈥檚 theme.鈥� 

The event will start with a cuddle lounge at 6 p.m., giving attendees a chance to meet animal ambassadors from the SPCA. There will be a cocktail reception and then dinner will be served at 7 p.m., featuring a three-course meal, paired with complimentary wines.

There will be a silent auction throughout the night as well to try and win some prizes.

鈥淵ou will be able to bid on some amazing auction items and participate in fun interactive fundraising activities,鈥� Massar added. 鈥淎nd after dinner guests can dance the night away with music from DJ Haymaker.鈥�

Speakers will share their stories as the night goes on. 

鈥淭his is an evening dedicated to the work of the BC SPCA, made possible by the kindness of incredibly generous supporters and compassionate people who see vulnerable animals in need and help them,鈥� said Massar.  

The event is taking place at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel at 5505 Airport Way. Tickets are available on the SPCA .
