Just a couple weeks remain to purchase raffle tickets in support of the Eagle River Grad Class of 2025, with a number of great prizes available.

High school graduation is a rite of passage, and the Eagle River Secondary Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is seeking public assistance in making sure the Sicamous Class of 2025 has an epic event.

Raffle tickets are now on sale to support local grads, with more than 32 prizes valued at over $9,000. The headliner items include a package from Sicamous Houseboats as first prize, another from Twin Anchors as second, and a Night Out in Sicamous for third.

There are, however, many other prizes available that have been donated by local businesses and organizations in the community and surrounding area, including restaurants, clothing stores, grocery, hardware, pet stores and assorted baskets as well as different experiences and attractions.

"All money is going directly to the grad celebration itself," PAC president Shaundra Boneham said of the grad caps that students get to keep, food, pictures on the wall and a grad photo. "And the rest goes to their Dry Grad trip."

For this year's celebration, the PAC is working to arrange a trip to Banff with a night in Revelstoke to explore the city and break up the drive, for a two-day getaway.

Tickets are $20 each, with only 700 printed, and are available through PAC members, grad students or by contacting Boneham at EagleRiverPAC@gmail.com, with an e-transfer option available for convenience.

The draw date is Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m.
