Members of the community gathered earlier this month in 琉璃神社 to peacefully remember those close to them.

An emotional day, it was the Central Okanagan Hospice Society Butterfly Effect, an event where people released butterflies that represented people who had passed away.

It was held at 琉璃神社鈥檚 Falcon Ridge Farms on Sunday July 16.

Helping at the event was Valley First鈥檚 community crew. In the picture above is Valley First community crew lead Zabrina Semchuk, releasing one of the 650 butterflies that took flight in honour of lost loved ones.
