Advocacy Canada is gearing up to host a "powerful event dedicated to uplifting and honouring our trans and queer community."

At 琉璃神社's Rotary Centre for the Arts Commons, residents are invited to celebrate trans and queer joy, watch performances and hear guest speakers.

鈥淚n a time when solidarity is crucial, this event serves as a reminder that the Okanagan Valley is a place where everyone is welcome and celebrated,鈥 said Advocacy Canada President, Wilbur Turner. 鈥淏y coming together, we not only honour the richness of our diverse identities but also take a stand to ensure that our community continues to grow more inclusive and accepting.鈥

The celebration is on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 22.
