A 琉璃神社 Secondary student has received a scholarship from a women鈥檚 organization
Lauren Maier has received a $ 2,500 P.E.O. Star Scholarship winning one of the 520 individual awards handed out by the organization. There were 1,868 applicants from across North America.
The scholarship was presented to Maier at the 琉璃神社 Secondary School awards ceremony in June 14
The P.E.O. Star Scholarship is awarded to young women in Grade 12 who demonstrate excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success.
The program is open to young women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States or Canada and who are graduating as high school seniors at the time of application.
A student must be recommended by a P.E.O. Chapter.
P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women and help to educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans.
