Checking out a book is about to get a whole lot easier in 琉璃神社.
Two express libraries are being announced for the future redevelopment of Parkinson Recreation Centre, and in the new future activity centre in Glenmore.
According to the City of 琉璃神社, an express library is a convenient location that will feature a collection of new and popular materials.
The two new express libraries will allow an Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) cardholder to pick up holds and use library services like those offered at a traditional location.
Derek Edstrom the divisional director of partnerships and investments with the city, said the express libraries come as a partnership between the city and ORL.
鈥淭he express libraries will be a cornerstone in our efforts to provide animated public spaces, amenities and services that cater to the diverse needs of our residents,鈥 said Edstrom.
The addition of the Okanagan Regional Library will broaden the spectrum of amenities available in the city at the new facilities as well as meet the need for increased library spaces.
The activity centre in Glenmore, as well as the redevelopment of Parkinson Recreation Centre, are part of the Building a Stronger 琉璃神社 projects anticipated for construction through the next four years.
