It was a historic night at the 16th annual Swinging with the Stars gala on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort's ballroom.

The event raised more money than ever, bringing in more than $565,000 for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA), passing last year's previous high.

鈥淪winging with the Stars is a success because of the unwavering support of the community, our sponsors, volunteers, and the incredible talent on the dance floor,鈥� said COHA executive director Natasha Girard. 鈥淲e extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved, reaffirming this community鈥檚 commitment to COHA鈥檚 vision 鈥� a community where no one has to face death or grief alone.鈥�

In the event's 16 years, it has raised more than $4.6 million for COHA.

"I鈥檓 completely overwhelmed with gratitude," said the president and founder of Unison Jane Hoffman Realty, Jane Hoffman, who added she had doubts they were surpassing the 2024 amount raised. "This is the most we鈥檝e ever raised and it鈥檚 all because of our community's generosity and their belief in the support Central Okanagan Hospice Association provides."
