Young professionals are getting into lawn bowling and fundraising this summer.

BDO, an international accountancy network, has extended its presenting sponsorship agreement for another two years with 琉璃神社-based On The Lawn powered by BDO.

With the unique step-back-in-time lawn bowling tournament, the firm has helped raise more than $29,000 over the past two years for local charity, Elevation Outdoors.

The event began in 2015 and was a first for the Okanagan. Now, 26 teams are registered to play. The fundraiser is open to the public, though registration is full.

鈥淲e started On The Lawn because we wanted to use our skills for good and create an event that was different and popular with a younger demographic in other countries,鈥 said On The Lawn director, Daylin Mantyka. 鈥淏DO has been incredibly supportive right from the start. They signed on in 2015 as presenting sponsor 鈥 even though the event was unproven in 琉璃神社.鈥

For three weeks starting July 27 at the 琉璃神社 Lawn Bowling Club in City Park, young professionals in 琉璃神社 will gather to bowl, network, and support Elevation Outdoors.
