Do you love running, hiking, playing and treats?
If so, you could be on the way to having a new best friend.
Two-year-old Zerella is a female shepherd who has had a hard time finding a place to call home. She is full of love but is also full of energy and excitement for adventure.
This gal is looking for a forever home where someone is as equally active and has time to spend with her.
Zel as she likes to be called, is getting the hang of all sorts of commands and can be easily trained. She also sleeps through the night in her crate.
Currently in the care of the Okanagan Humane Society, the charity is hoping Zel can go to a home that is confident with the shepherd breed to help guide her and teach her proper boundaries.
This sweet girl loves humans big and small as well as other dogs, however, smaller creatures like cats are a no-go, as she likes to chase.
If you think you could provide Zel with a forever home please contact .
The charity is also sharing the good news regarding its Angels for Animals fundraising campaign launched earlier this month. While the initial fundraising goal was set at $100,000, with four anonymous donors having offered $25,000 each, one of those donors has unexpectedly doubled their contribution to help the organization amp up its efforts for a new fundraising goal of $250,000.
The average cost of care per animal is $300, meaning if OHS reaches its fund-raising goal, the charity will be able to guarantee support for more than 830 local animals, solidifying its rescue efforts well into the new year.
