To keep her animal philanthropy going, an Okanagan woman has started a photography business.

A South Okanagan woman has branched out into photography to keep her not-for-profit going.

Serafina Green founded the 2 The Rescue Expeditions Society several years ago, but the cost of fuel has made it difficult to keep doing alone.

While not taking in any animals herself, Green has worked to provide transportation for animal sanctuaries and rescues at no cost.

"Grants are hard to come by," Green said.

After getting a trailer in 2021 that could transport multiple horses, she was forced to sell it to keep the society going.

Recently, Green has started up a photography business while she works to find other funding to not only keep 2 The Rescue going but to grow it, too.

"I'm hoping to eventually expand to bring on other people, who have healed or are in the healing process to help," said Green.

While the society is not a full charity, it is a registered not-for-profit, and more information and ways to support the society can be found online at
