Artisan Showcase is in the holiday spirit.
The woman behind it all, Frances Callaghan, said they started the holiday season in Penticton and just hosted a holiday market in 琉璃神社.
Callaghan launched Artisan Showcase five years ago to celebrate local goods and vendors in the Okanagan.
鈥淚鈥檝e gone from maybe three markets for the winter and now I鈥檓 up to eight markets for the winter and I do spring markets as well.鈥
The 琉璃神社 market was held Nov. 12 at Laurel Packinghouse from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event collected donations for the Central Okanagan Food Bank. Callaghan stressed the importance of supporting the community and said every event she hosts collects donations for a local charity organization.
鈥淲e鈥檙e back here next weekend for two days and also at the Mission Community Hall for three days over there. So, we鈥檙e double-dipping next weekend.鈥
