PHOTOS: Salmon Arm Farmers’ Market entertains shoppers of all ages

Entertainment and crafts delight younger patrons while vendors offer variety of goods

Vendors and shoppers braved intermittent rain to shop locally from farmers and crafters at the weekly Downtown Salmon Arm Farmers Market.

The market runs every Saturday for the summer season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in and spread out around the Ross Street Plaza downtown.

Over 50 vendors are registered to offer organic and locally-grown food, beverages, handmade goods and treats all summer. Live music and entertainment is slated to perform each weekend.

A tent was also set up for anyone interested in joining Worldwide Knit in Public Day. A group gathered to socialize and work on knitting and tactile craft projects, inviting shoppers to stop by and discuss all things yarn.
