Alice At Wonderland, The musical was performed by students in Grades 4-7 on April 10 and 11.
It was a modern retelling of the classic, 1865 children鈥檚 novel, that followed the 21st century Alice, texting and googling, finding herself in the Wonderland of old where nobody had heard of a smartphone.
鈥淭he show was fantastic, and the kids worked so hard,鈥 said Rebecca Hall, a parent of one of the students.
There were 30 lead roles, with four different students playing the titular character. Over 210 supporting cast members helped perform the musical numbers in the mammoth endeavour that resulted in a vibrant, funny and entertaining show.
鈥淢ichelle Johnson, the fine arts teacher at BX, had been working on the musical since before Christmas,鈥 said Hall. 鈥淪he did an incredible job leading the charge with everything from rehearsals, sets, costumes and lighting.鈥
