Car enthusiasts checked out nearly 100 cars at Marine Peace Park Saturday

Marine Peace Park was the place to be for automobile enthusiasts this weekend in Salmon Arm.

On Saturday, July 8, the park was filled with vintage, collectable and modern cars and trucks for the annual Salmon Arm Harbourfront Car Show, put on by the Shuswap Vintage Car Club.

The show, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., saw 96 cars registered around 10:30 a.m., with more coming, said Car Club members. The park’s capacity is about 110, said an organizer.

A barbecue was put on by the Deep Creek Dairy 4H Club as a fundraiser.
