The fourth annual Putting for Paws teed off at Black Mountain Golf Course on June 22.
The charity event hopes to raise $30,000 for the Okanagan Humane Society.
All of the proceeds will go to help animals in need in the Okanagan.
OHS president said this year has been busier than ever when it comes to assisting animals who need care in the region.
鈥淲e have already reached the number (of assisting animals) at the end of 2023 and it鈥檚 only halfway through this year,鈥 she explained. 鈥淵esterday, we took in 16 animals and today we took in another seven, and that is just from two locations. So, there is a lot of work to be done in the Okanagan.鈥
Every animal that OHS helps costs an average of $300, so the funds raised at Saturday鈥檚 event are very much needed to help vaccinate, spay/neuter and microchip each pet that comes into care.
The golf tournament was a Texas scramble, a shot-gun start with golfers playing the best ball.
