Santa, skating and local holiday shopping take over downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç

Downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Association’s annual winter festival and light-up took place on Saturday, Dec. 2

Downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç was filled with holiday cheer on Saturday, Dec. 2, as Downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Association’s (DKA) annual winter festival and light-up took place.

Along Water Street from Queensway to Doyle, the street was closed to traffic and filled with many local vendors with many holiday shopping ideas as well as food and drinks to keep warm. Market-goers could get hot chocolate by donating to the Central Okanagan Food Bank while Leopold’s Tavern had a ‘warm-up station’ set-up.

Stuart Park was also packed as people in attendance got photos with Santa and annual outdoor ice rink was filled with skaters.

Live music is being played and a light-up will also be happening at 5:30 p.m.
