A Vancouver-based alternative rocker is hitting one of Penticton's most beloved stages to mark the start of her Interior-wide tour.
Stephanie Wall will be at the Dream Cafe on July 9 to perform her new single, Velcro, which will officially release for streaming that same day.
Wall – described by the local venue as someone who has the "soul and grit" of Amy Winehouse – will be joined by fellow Vancouver musician Joe Abbott as they tour the B.C. Interior from July 9 to 15, and visit other communities like Enderby and Kamloops, among others.
Riding on the heels of her September 2023 album titled My Angels, Wall says she's ready to bring her full band to Penticton and showcase her diverse mix of surf-rock and alternative country.
"This song is me working through the complicated emotions that come with ending an abusive romantic relationship," Wall said of her new single, Velcro.
Abbott, meanwhile, recently opened for Ontario-based artist Cat Clyde while touring across Canada as part of Petunia and the Vipers.
The artist is expected to bring crooner-style vocals over folk-inspired melodies and licks when he takes to the Dream Cafe stage.
Wall and Abbott's show in Penticton starts at 8 p.m., with tickets available for purchase
