The Shuswap鈥檚 premier bluegrass festival will not be returning this summer.

Organizers behind the NimbleFingers Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Workshop, held annually in August for more than two decades, recently announced 鈥渨ith great sadness that鈥 our beloved event will not be happening in 2024.鈥

鈥淭he past few years have brought unprecedented challenges, including the impacts of the pandemic and wildfires, which have profoundly affected our ability to produce a safe and enjoyable event,鈥 organizers explain on the NimbleFingers Facebook page. 鈥淲ith three of the last four years cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control, we need a year to recover and regroup.

鈥淭his decision was not made lightly. Our commitment to delivering a top-notch experience remains unwavering. We want to assure you that NimbleFingers will continue to be a highlight in the bluegrass and old-time music community for many years to come. We are just taking a year to recover, and also consider new and exciting ways to connect with the community!鈥

Organizers urged people to watch for announcements about future events, and said they 鈥渓ook forward to reuniting for an incredible NimbleFingers event in 2025.鈥
