BC Ferries already bracing for Taylor Swift tsunami with multiple special runs

22 extra sailings scheduled between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen the weekend of Dec. 6

BC Ferries is planning ahead, with an extra 22 sailings for Taylor Swift鈥檚 weekend of concerts.

All of the extra sailings will be between the Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay route over the Dec. 6 to 8 weekend 鈥 and travellers can already make reservations.

鈥淲e know many Island residents were lucky to be able to buy tickets and we want to make sure they have lots of options to get there and back,鈥 said Jeff Groot, executive director of BC Ferries communications and engagement.

Black Press Media has reached out to Hullo Ferries, which travels between Nanaimo and Vancouver, for its plans the weekend of the concert. The company has previously scheduled special late-night sailings for Beyonc茅, Guns N鈥 Roses and Vancouver Canucks games.

Taylor Swift announced back in November that she would finally be bringing her Eras tour to Vancouver for three nights in December 2024. The concerts are slated for Dec. 6, 7 and 8, 2024, at BC Place.
