For the first time on stage since their sold-out Orchestral Rock Odyssey concert series, The Gary Cable Project is back by popular demand.

The Project will perform classic hits from the golden age of pop/rock music 鈥 Chicago, Toto, Steely Dan, Earth Wind & Fire, Lighthouse, Stevie Wonder, Blood Sweat & Tears, Billy Joel, Journey, Christopher Cross and many others.

Concerts in 琉璃神社 Friday, April 29 and Vernon Saturday, April 30 support the BC Interior Jazz Festival through the Gary Cable Foundation.

鈥淭he foundation is in memory of my late wife,鈥 Cable told Black Press Media. 鈥淥ne of the causes near and dear to her is music education.鈥

There will also be silent auctions at the show, with all proceeds going to the Canada Ukraine Foundation to support refugees. Among the items up for grabs are a signed guitar, signed symbol and $150 worth of ChocXO chocolate.

The Gary Cable Project is a nine-piece band with a full horn section, whose members have performed and recorded with the likes of Aerosmith, Barbra Streisand, Supertramp, Michael Bubl茅, Joe Cocker, The Pointer Sisters, David Foster, Jann Arden, Chilliwack, Neil Young, Powder Blues, Nickelback, Ian Tyson, Sarah McLachlan, Ray Charles and too many more music legends to name.

鈥淔or example, last time we were here the drummer just finished a tour with Bryan Adams. After this my bass player is going on tour with Chilliwack in two weeks,鈥 said Cable. 鈥淓veryone on the band has the same pedigree. But they park their egos and bring their A-game.鈥

The Project features the talents of Ariana Whitlow (vocals), Robert Walsh (guitar and vocals), Aaron Anderson (drums), Bob Rogers (trombone), Gord Maxwell (bass and vocals), Vince Mai (trumpet), Steve Hilliam (saxophones), Dave Chobot (guitars, keyboards and vocals) and Gary Cable (piano, keyboards and vocals).

鈥淭he last time this group performed here was January 2020 with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra that sold out and there were 500 people on the waiting list,鈥 Cable said.

Tickets for the 琉璃神社 Community Theatre concert are available at or by calling 250-762-5050. To check out the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre concert, visit or call 250-549-SHOW(7469).
