Time to party in Penticton like it's 1976.

A disco-themed roller skating event is coming to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Saturday, Aug. 17.

"Summer Nights Roller Disco," as it's being called, welcomes skaters to the venue from 7 to 9 p.m.

Expect to listen to retro tunes and skate under the disco lights, event organizers say.

"Relive the good ole days with a summer night roller disco," an announcement reads.

The event is open to skaters aged eight and up.

Roller skates in a variety of sizes will also be available for rent.

More information about this weekend's event — organized by Penticton Roller Skate — can be found
