Another fall storm lands on the shores of Victoria. Winds are expected to peak in the evening and ease overnight on Friday (Nov. 22).

The final ferries between Greater Victoria and the Tsawwassen could set sail at 5 p.m. depending on weather.

BC Ferries warned the Friday (Nov. 22) boats leaving at 7 and 9 p.m. between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay in North Saanich could be benched 鈥渢o ensure the safety of our customers and crew鈥 in the wake of a wind alert from Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Another fall storm is forecast to impact the B.C. south coast Friday evening, Environment Canada said in a special weather statement.

鈥淲hile this low is not as intense as the major storm that affected the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, and peak wind speeds are forecast to be generally lower, strong winds may still cause damage and disruptions, and slow down clean up efforts,鈥 the statement reads.

An area of low pressure off the west coast of Vancouver Island will generate strong southeasterly winds near coastal areas. Winds are expected to peak in the evening and ease overnight.

The ferry service asks users to check for updates.
