Living legends The Wailers are set to bring their celebrated reggae-roots stylings to the 琉璃神社 Community Theatre on Thursday, March 10.

It has been many years since The Wailers originally started out with the one and only Bob Marley but, five decades later, they have continued to be a powerhouse touring group who embody the nobility, conviction and progressiveness of Bob Marley and his music. T

ogether with Bob Marley, The Wailers have sold over 250 million albums and have played to an estimated 24 million people across the globe performing an average of 200 dates a year.

The anchor of the band is Aston 鈥淔amily Man鈥 Barrett, who in addition to being Marley鈥檚 most trusted lieutenant and co-producer, played on countless other classic reggae hits throughout the seventies. The authenticity he brings to the Wailers鈥 sound is indisputable and today鈥檚 line-up combines old school know-how with lead vocals from one of Jamaica鈥檚 most exciting new singers. The current lineup includes Mr. Barrett鈥檚 young son, Aston Barrett Jr., a multi-instrumentalist who plays bass, drums and organ, on drums is Anthony 鈥淏enbow鈥 Creary, lead singers Dwayne Anglin and Joshua David Barrett, lead and rhythm guitar plus backing vocals by Audley 鈥淐hizzy鈥 Chisholm, backing vocals by Cegee Victory and on keys Chaka Taylor.

The Wailers are undoubtedly the world鈥檚 premier reggae and world music group who continue to bring high energy shows to fans across the globe. Tickets to see The Wailers at the 琉璃神社 Community Theatre are on sale now for $40/$45 (plus tax and service fees 鈥 reserved seating) and are available via web, phone or box office through Select Your Tickets. This is an all ages event and begins at 7:30PM.
