A new charity is taking place at Red Bird Brewing to raise money for mental health.

On Wednesday, Nov. 22, Third Space Charity is hosting its inaugural charity benefit concert to raise money for the mental health of young adults.

鈥淭he total number of young people in our country that are at risk of developing depression is a staggering 3.2 million,鈥 said Third Space Charity executive director Megan Woodruff. 鈥淎t the charity, we recognize that safe, supportive spaces where mental health resources are accessible are critical to the resilience of our community and the young people in it.鈥

Local emerging country artist Dawson Gray is taking the stage at the event and understands how important one鈥檚 mental health is.

鈥淎s someone who has dealt with mental health issues throughout my years, I know first-hand how important it is to have a support system,鈥 said Gray. 鈥淗owever, for many young adults money is tight, and it isn鈥檛 always easy to find proper help. With the efforts of organizations like Third Space Charity, my hope is that we can continue to better provide safe spaces for young adults to turn to when in need.鈥

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature a live auction and a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign up to $15,000 by Nicola Wealth.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on the Third Space Charity .
