Power restored to almost all BC Hydro customers in Lake Country

More than 1,700 customers are in the dark following a vehicle collision in Lake Country on Monday afternoon. The incident happened just before 2 p.m.

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m.

Power has been restored to almost all 1,761 BC Hydro customers in Lake country after a vehicle collision possibly damaged some infrastructure. 

There are still 10 customers affected by the outage in the 16100 block of old Mission Road and the  16100 block of Butterworth Road. BC Hydro crews are on site. 

However, the estimated time of power being restored for the 10 customers in 12 a.m. April 15. 


More than 1,700 BC Hydro customers are in the dark following a vehicle collision in Lake Country on Monday afternoon. 

The incident happened just before 2 p.m. and impacted BC Hydro infrastructure causing the area east of Pelmewash Parkway to lose power. 

BC Hydro has a crew on the way to the scene with an estimated time of arrival of 3:10 p.m.

It's not known how many vehicles were involved in the crash, or if there were any injuries.
