Bad parking on Benvoulin being addressed by City of 琉璃神社

Shoulder parking is allowed along Benvoulin as long as the bike lane is not obstructed

No parking signs are going up on Benvoulin Road, near Springfield, to keep parked vehicles from encroaching on the bike lane.

鈥淭here is an ongoing effort to mitigate a less than ideal parking solution for the construction underway,鈥 a statement from the city reads in part.

Shoulder parking is allowed along Benvoulin as long as the bike lane is not obstructed.

Tickets have been issued to vehicles blocking the lane. New 鈥淣o Parking Anytime鈥 signs are being installed on the narrowest sections of Benvoulin.

Bylaw staff have also spoken to the developers and supervisors at the nearby construction site to ensure everyone knows not to block the bike lanes.

Crew will also be mowing the shoulders on nearby Mayer Road and other city departments will consider more permanent solutions.
