A grant from BC Hydro will help the District of Peachland plant new trees at the Sanderson Dog-Off-Leash Park and along Beach Avenue.

The Community ReGreening Program has provided $5,000 so the district can plant nine trees at Sanderson Park, and two trees on Beach Avenue at 13th Street to replace ones that have died. The replacement trees are Columnar Dawyck Beech.

New trees at Sanderson will complement the new park which received a $100,000 upgrade last year with the installation of water service and fencing.

The species are three each Autumn Blaze Red Maples, Lavelle Hawthornes and Dawyck Beech.
