Update: 9 p.m.

A report of an assault with a weapon led to multiple RCMP responding to the Superstore Mobil gas station, Thursday afternoon (Nov. 21). 

RCMP confirmed to Capital News that officers responded to the 2200 block of Baron Rd at approximately 12:20 p.m. to investigate an alleged assault.

According to Cpl. Michael Gauthier the suspect was found nearby on Harvey Avenue, where he was taken into custody and remains.

鈥淭he victim sustained minor injuries,鈥� said Cpl. Gauthier.

The matter remains under investigation.

Update 1:20 p.m.

琉璃神社 RCMP have left the scene of an incident at the Superstore Mobil gas station on Baron Road. 

Original 1 p.m.

A number of RCMP vehicles are on scene of a construction site near Leckie Road and Harvey Ave in 琉璃神社. 

More police are also on scene of the nearby Superstore Mobil gas station on Baron Road. 

The reason for their presence is not yet known.
