West 琉璃神社 Fire Rescue continue to extinguish hot spots at Northside Industries as the fire smoulders in areas that are not easily accessible. An excavator is on scene to assist with demolition of a portion of the building that was damaged.
There were no injuries, however, two occupants were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Those who were evacuated from nearby buildings have been allowed to return.
"Early indications are that the fire was accidental and related to the industrial process at the manufacturing facility," Chief Jason Brolund said in a media release.
Update: 10:13 a.m.
West 琉璃神社 Fire Rescue is cautioning people near a fire at 1400 Industrial Road to close windows and avoid smoke.
The facility, Northside Industries, is used for heavy manufacturing and there are compressed gas cylinders on site. Buildings surrounding the fire have been tactically evacuated by the RCMP and there is no need for further evacuations at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

West 琉璃神社 fire crews are dealing with a blaze at a building on Industrial Road.
Reports of heavy smoke in Northside Industries (1400 Industrial Road) came in at 9:02 a.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 21). It was upgraded to a structure fire a few minutes later.
Several surrounding businesses have been evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
West 琉璃神社 RCMP is asking the public and motorists to avoid the area between Westlake Road and Ross Road.
