The OCCA Communities Association is proud to announce the third cohort of graduates from the Job Connect for Future (JCF) program.
The 12 graduates were recognized during a ceremony at Grizzli Winery in West 琉璃神社 on Nov. 16.
Funded by the provincial Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and the RBC Foundation, the jobs program assists immigrants and newcomers gain essential workplace skills, building a resume, and preparing for interviews.
鈥淲e are thrilled to celebrate the success of our latest cohort of graduates, who have worked hard to build skills and connections that will serve them throughout their careers,鈥 said Fei Liu, executive director of OCCA Communities Association. 鈥淭he JCF program has been instrumental in providing skills training and development opportunities for immigrants, and we are excited to see the continued positive impact this program has on our community.鈥
Several Central Okanagan dignitaries were there to celebrate alongside the grads, including 琉璃神社 councillors Mohini Singh and Loyal Wooldridge and West 琉璃神社 Deputy Mayor Tasha Da Silva.
