A West 琉璃神社 group has unveiled a bold proposal aimed at bolstering infrastructure, revenue streams, and sustainability in the city.

A news release from the Glenrosa Residents Association (GRA) states the initiative underscores its dedication to Glenrosa and the broader community鈥檚 prosperity.

Highlights of the plan include:

  • Enhanced fire safety measures prioritizing community safety through strategic fire breaks;
  • Revenue-generating infrastructure projects to invest in projects that generate income, ease the tax burden, and spur economic growth;
  • Job creation and economic growth that create employment opportunities for residents;
  • Access to affordable financing to undertake projects without imposing financial strain;
  • Collaboration with Indigenous stakeholders to honour their perspectives and traditional knowledge;
  • Embrace green power technologies to promote sustainability;
  • Alignment with BC Hydro鈥檚 clean energy goals
  • Backup power transmission line to ensure reliability of electricity;

The GRA calls on the community to support the initiative and promises engagement, feedback, and transparency throughout the process.
