ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç's dirty dogs, and their paw-rents, should start preparing for the annual Dirty Mutter race, which is a fundraising event for the Rescue Ranch Society in Black Mountain.
The obstacle course race is inspired by the popular Tough Mudder – a spartan-style event which features slippery mud sections, obstacles and hills.
While the race is sure to be challenging, all people and pups are welcome to come out, try their best and have fun on August 25. Spectators are also welcome to come watch.
The race course will be approximately 1.5km in length with obstacle and mud galore. Participants and their pups will travel over, under, through and around (if necessary) the series of obstacles and mud.
People without a pup are also welcome – the event is open to both individual and team registration.
"Same fun, same mud," said race organizer and founder of the Rescue Ranch Society Rhonda Laturnus.
Costumes are suggested for all contestants.
There will be prizes for muddiest dog and human, cleanest dog, best costume and best team entry.
