Highway 97 at Princeton Avenue in Peachland has been reopened to traffic in both directions. Motorists should expect slow-moving traffic until the backlog of vehicles clears.

Motorists traveling south near Peachland can expect major delays after a downed power line near Brent Road shut down the highway around 1 p.m.
A detour is available, by taking Highway 97C to Highway 5A to Princeton, to Highway 3 to Highway 3A to Penticton.
BC Hydro crews are on site, with an estimate of 5 p.m. being the earliest that power will be restored.
