Highway 33 east of 琉璃神社 has been reopened following a fatal crash Monday (July 22) evening.

The highway opened around 6 a.m. on Tuesday (July 23).

Police are currently responding to a fatal collision involving two motorcycles on Highway 33 in 琉璃神社.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., on the 6300 Block of Hwy 33 between Goudie Road and Goshawk Road.

"This significant collision with confirmed loss of life," said Cpl. Ryder Birtwistle with the 琉璃神社 RCMP.

 The highway will be closed for several hours as RCMP officers and analysts are on scene gathering evidence in an attempt to determine the cause of the incident.

There is a detour available for traffic on Goudie Rd to Cardinal Creek Rd.

"Please take you time and follow the detour signage, staying away from the collision scene," asks Cpl. Birtwistle.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or has dash camera video is asked to phone the RCMP and reference police file number 2024-39634.
