A goat farmer from Summerland 'herd' that people like his goats, so he brought them for a walk in downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç on Thanksgiving Monday.
Bleating could be heard from the Sails sculpture on Bernard Avenue on Oct. 14, as Greg Kauter – also known as the 'famous Summerland goat guy'– took his pets for a stroll.
People dressed in their Thanksgiving best stopped to say hello to the four goats silky fainting goats as Kauter and his herd walked along the lakefront. He carried a broom and dustpan to quickly clean up waste.
The goats were well behaved, not requiring a leash and were nonchalant and calm when surrounded by people, bikes and pups.
Kauter told Black Press that his goats love being out on the town. He said they enjoy affection so long as they can see who is patting them and do not feel surprised.
The fainting goats will stiffen up and may topple over if startled.
