The City of 琉璃神社 encourages residents to embrace pedal power during GoByBike Week.

The province-wide initiative asks people to ditch their vehicles for cycling, scootering, or even rollerblading for daily commutes and errands.

From June 3 to 9, 琉璃神社 residents are invited to explore the city on two wheels or alternative means of transportation.

琉璃神社鈥檚 commitment to promoting alternate transportation includes an extensive network of bike lanes and multi-use paths, totaling approximately 400 kilometers.

鈥淏iking is a fun way to get outdoors and stay active, it鈥檚 also an affordable transportation option that can help you save money,鈥 said Suzanne Therrien, transportation planner.

By registering for free at , participants can log the number of kilometers they bike each day throughout the week.

Every ride logged enters individuals and teams into a draw for locally sponsored and province-wide prizes.

The grand prize is a cycling adventure in Italy, sponsored by Exodus Adventure Travels.
