琉璃神社 hospital foundation announces new board chair

The board also appointed four new directors

Janine Karlsen is the new KGH Foundation's Board of Directors Chair.

Janine Karlsen is the new chair of 琉璃神社 General Hospital Foundation's board of directors. 

Karlsen steps into the role after serving on the board since 2021. 

鈥淎fter three years serving on the Board of Directors it鈥檚 truly inspiring to see the impact KGH Foundation donors have, not just at 琉璃神社 General Hospital, but also in our community.鈥

Karlsen has a history of working in physician offices, surgical centres and hospitals across B.C. She has experience as a clinical director and in sales for hospital equipment and biomedical devices. 

鈥淛anine is a compassionate business leader who brings so much knowledge and experience in the health care field,鈥 said KGH Foundation CEO, Allison Young. 鈥淲e are so grateful to Janine, and to all our Board members, past and present, for giving their time to help with our strategic direction.

The board also has four new directors. New on the board is retired president at Interior Savings Credit Union Kathy Conway, CEO at Tax Templates Jay Goodis, Founder of Inglis Private Investment Council Kim Inglis, and Western Canada Managing Partner Bruce Sprague. 

The KGH Foundation board of directors provides guidance and support to foundation staff and drives strategic partnerships to raise funds for health care needs in the Central Okanagan.
