A new support program for families of teens experiencing substance use disorder has opened at the Bridge Youth and Family Services in 琉璃神社.
The program is intended to provide support, education, resources and strategies for the parents and caregivers of youth who are struggling with substance abuse.
鈥淭his program is designed to provide families with the essential knowledge and resources they need during a critical time,鈥 said a spokesperson from The Bridge.
Workshops will be held in 琉璃神社 on Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, with a 5p.m. start time.
The workshops will cover topics including; education on substance use, long-term strategies for recovery, managing family dynamics and communication strategies. The program will also help educate parents and caregivers on the supports and resources that are available to them.
