Two people have been taken into custody on outstanding warrants following an RCMP execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Harvey Avenue, on Thursday.
Officers are still on the scene at the home where quantities of weapons, drugs and illegal cigarettes have been discovered.
"Residents and businesses have already approached police and expressed their gratitude toward police in addressing this known problem residence,鈥 said Cpl. Michael Gauthier.

The 琉璃神社 RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team has concluded the execution of a residential search warrant of 745 Harvey Avenue.
Highway 97 now reopened both directions.
"This is still an active investigation and details of the search will not be released at this time," said Cpl. Michael Gauthier

Harvey Avenue is now open in both directions, however, police remain on scene.

RCMP and the Emergency Response Team have gathered outside a home at 745 Harvey Avenue, Thursday morning.
According to Cpl. Michael Gauthier the 琉璃神社 RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team are executing a residential search warrant at the home.
Highway traffic is temporarily being diverted between Richter Street and Ethel Avenue and northbound traffic on Richter St. The RCMP will advise once these closures have been reopened.
The property is the same as that which was involved in a police incident in October 2023, that led to a man being shot by RCMP while inside a porta-potty on Skyline Road in West 琉璃神社.
Police are also focused on a home in the 700-block of Saucier Avenue. Multiple people were witnessed sitting outside in handcuffs.
The Super Stop convenience store and the Great Canadian Oil Change on Richter and Harvey, are both closed.
Traffic is backed up into West 琉璃神社, as the Harvey remains closed at Richter.
UPDATE: ERT is on scene at a newer house beside the Petro-Canada gas station, which is closed along with the Great Canadian Oil Change

RCMP have blocked the eastbound lanes of Harvey Avenue from Ethel to Richter Street, Thursday morning.
Eastbound traffic is being detoured south on Richter, causing back-ups and delays in the area. Richter is closed northbound between Harvey and DeHart Avenue.
Pedestrian traffic along Harvey is also being detoured. Saucier Avenue is also closed and RCMP are gathered outside a home that is known to police and has been the scene of "serious incidents" in the past.
A police drone has been spotted in the air.
Harvey has been blocked since before 11 a.m.
It鈥檚 unclear why the highway has been shut down. Capital News has a reporter headed to the area.
