The person behind the 琉璃神社 Rockets press releases, social media, and much more is heading to the bright lights of the NHL.

After five and a half years as the team's communications and social media director, Paige Bednorz has stepped down from her role to join the Edmonton Oilers digital team.

鈥淲e wish Paige the very best in her new role in Edmonton with the Oilers,鈥� said Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton. 鈥淪he is a good story with us, starting as an intern she has moved her way up to be a very important part of the Rockets technology team.鈥�

Bednorz interned with the team during the 2016-17 season. After a year with a marketing agency, she returned to the Rockets during the 2018-19 season.

鈥淚 want to thank the Hamilton family and the Rockets organization for giving me the opportunity to work in hockey when I thought that I would never get the chance,鈥� said Bednorz. 鈥淚 have developed so much as a person and a professional over the last six years in 琉璃神社, I am incredibly grateful to everyone for their support during my time here.鈥�
