A spooky sight to behold is set to rise up from the underworld on Halloween night, thanks to the tireless work of a mother who loves to give people a fright.
Gail Williams has been preparing to scare those who dare to stop by her daughter's home at 67 Stillwater Court in Lake Country on Halloween night for months.
The scene will be set up on the afternoon of Oct. 31, and will be best viewed after sundown.
"Showtime is at 5 p.m.," said Williams.
After six years of frights at her daughter's home on Stillwater Court, Williams is confident "this year will be better than ever."
She makes the yearly pilgrimage to Lake Country, with her vehicle packed full of horrors, because her home does not get any trick-or-treaters.
While she is secretive about the haunted theme before the great reveal on Halloween, Williams did tease that there will be five characters this year. Some of the characters will be statues while others will be her friends and family in costume, posed and waiting to jump out at unsuspecting candy-focused fiends.
To witness and help with the final spooky spectacle on Stillwater Court, Williams' sister Shelley Whitmore has also driven into town from Alberta.
This will be Williams' last year setting up in Lake Country as her daughter is moving. She hopes to continue scaring people from a new location in the future.
In addition to the display on Stillwater Court, the haunted will be open on Halloween night for those looking for a fright.
