A creative magazine-making event has been added to the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Pride Month calendar.
ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç’s first ever Queer ‘Zine’ (short for magazine)Fair is being hosted by the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Museums Society and the UBCO library at the Laurel Packinghouse on June 3, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The free workshop and fair will include a brief history of zines, considerations for zine-making and time for people to create their own magazines. Registration is now open to apply for a booth for the event.
Supplies will be provided but participants are welcome to bring any materials of their own.
After 8 p.m., the fair will be followed by an open mic where folks will be invited to further share their creativity, which may include spoken word, music or comedy.
At the fair, creators will showcase their unique projects with a focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ themes. Artists, writers, and creatives are encouraged to sign up to exhibit, sell, or trade their zines.
